AROMATHERAPY & BATH GIFT BASKETS
Why would you gift someone with an aromatherapy gift basket or bath gift baskets? Well…
Do you, or a loved one, enjoy pleasant scents throughout your home? Are you under the impression that to evoke some special memories of childhood—like the smell of warm apple pies—is to recreate the event yourself? In this case, head to the kitchen and bake those pies yourself? Then you’ll be happy to know that you can infuse your home with a variety of special scents without having to cook, bake or anything else. You can take advantage of aromatherapy scents.
So, what is aromatherapy? It’s the science of using the natural fragrance of the essential oils derived from aromatic plants and herbs. Often times these oils have both therapeutic and health benefits.
Nearly six thousand years ago, China began practicing the art of aromatherapy. How? By the burning of incense in their temples and ancestor shrines. Later on, the Egyptians and Babylonians introduced a new way extracting oils from beneficial plants using the process we now know as distillation.
From those humble beginnings, aromatherapy has become a common practice. Today, both men and women are taking aromatherapy baths on in increasing scale, recognizing the benefits of the synergistic effects that warm water and essential oils can have on the body. And the process of preparing an aromatherapy bath is not difficult! You can prepare all the materials yourself.
Now, here’s where we get to the point of why you should give someone aromatherapy gift basket or spa gift baskets. Why should they prepare the materials themselves—simple though the process may be—when you can simply give them all they need in one basket? The basket would likely contain an array of bath and body products, like bath salts, bubble bath, soap and bath bombs. A lot of them will even contain extra goodies like chocolate or maybe cookies! It would be a very thoughtful gift for someone special. As you likely know, different scents can evoke different emotions. They can sooth, and de-stress, or they can stir you up.
These days, nearly everyone is dealing with some form of stress or tension in their lives. And everyone, man or woman, could do with some time to just relax and rejuvenate. Lavender is well known for its stress relief properties, but likely not something you’d give to a man. For a man, you might consider something like sandalwood or bergamot.
A basket will contain other aromatherapy essentials as well, not just bath items. As mentioned at the outset, it’s also nice to fill your home with pleasing scents. An aromatherapy candle will do the trick here. No need to fire up the oven and do some baking.
All in all, aromatherapy gift baskets and spa gift baskets make a thoughtful gift. And you can usually find something that will work for either a man or a woman, however, I would guess that most will think this a gift more appropriate for a special woman in their lives.
